Mesmerized by… Broderie Anglaise ‘aint going away

My Broderie Anglaise Frock
My Broderie Anglaise Frock

In a nod to childhood summer dresses I chose to wear the famed English embroidery as a summer frock for my engagement festivities earlier this year. The little Colette Dinnigan prêt-à-porter number perfectly fit our maritime theme. It seems Broderie Anglaise is still the petit amor of the designers for fall 2013 but now we are seeing more luxe takes on the typically school girl approach. Loving it! Every time I spot it, it reminds me of the little marine gathering to celebrate pending nuptials with my beau and childhood summers filled with hot hot West Coast sun and juicy watermelon feasts in the bathtub!
